Demi Lovato日前推出專輯《Dancing with the Devil... the Art of Starting Over》，延續先前推出的《Dancing with the Devil》紀錄片內容，探討用藥成癮問題。2018年7月，Demi於家中服藥過量昏迷送醫，震驚整個西洋樂壇。Demi其實早先就有透過單曲〈Sober〉表達自己用藥的黑歷史，而這次專輯的歌曲也都在探討曾身陷毒癮的Demi，自我內在與慾望的相互拉扯。
這首〈Met Him Last Night〉，藉由Him(祂)代指宛如惡魔般的毒品，並邀請好友Ariana Grande一同獻聲。Ari在當年Demi昏迷送醫時也曾推文表達對好友的支持，如今與戰勝毒癮的Demi合作別具意義。這首單曲也是兩位女歌手第一次合作，期待MV能早日問世，撫慰歌迷們躁動的心。
